Victoria's Great Outdoors invested $10.5 million to improve 4WD tracks and facilities, helping to make Victoria the premier destination for four-wheel driving on and off the beaten track.

Upgrading tracks and iconic routes

We've upgraded 125kms of tracks so that users of all levels of experience can enjoy four-wheel-driving in Victoria.

Upgrades include better track access and conditions and new facilities and activities at trailheads, such as campgrounds, lookouts and short walks. These can be found along:

  • Aberfeldy Back Road Tour
  • Wombat 4WD Tour
  • Circuit Road Forest Drive
  • Haunted Steam Track
  • Nunniong Plains Track
