About this campground
Razorback Hut, almost an hour east of the town of Mansfield, is a perfect stop on your way to Craig’s Hut and other attractions in the area.
Formerly known as Purcell’s Hut, it was built by the Purcell family for stockmen completing the annual stock drive.
It is a great overnight or picnic spot for hikers, four-wheel drivers, campers and horse riders, with horse yards available for use. It is regularly used by tour operators running horse riding activities.
The main hut has 2 large open fireplaces that can be used by the public. A second hut - known as a bunk hut – is suitable for sleeping up to 20 people.
You can either set up camp on the surrounding grassy areas outside the hut or you can sleep in the bunk hut.
