About this campground
Camp or picnic among the towering mountain ash trees in this open, grassy campground located less than 2 hours east of Melbourne. Starlings Gap provides tent-based camping for families and hikers on the magnificent Walk Into History overnight hike.
Starlings Gap has everything you need, including picnic tables, firepits, toilets and shelter. This central location makes it easy to explore the surrounding forest attractions. Drive or hike to the nearby Ada Tree, or enjoy other forest attractions, including Seven Acre Rock.
A short walk from the site will take you to an old boiler and sawdust heap which are remnants of the timber mill that once stood in this location.
