About this tour
The tour starts at Dargo, an area first mapped in the 1850s, and heads north along the Dargo High Plains.
This route is celebrated for its popular campsites and stunning views along Upper Dargo Road. Enjoy the scenic beauty of both the Dargo and Wentworth Rivers throughout the day.
Able to be completed in a half day, you may extend your trip by staying in one or more of the campgrounds along the route.
Take an optional 4WD side trip down to Wentworth Falls (Grade – Difficult).
Further on visit the historic Strobridge Huts before finishing in Swifts Creek
Camping on the tour
There are several campgrounds along the Dargo River - Two Mile Creek, Italian Flat, Jimmy Iverson’s and Ollies Jump Up. Alternatively, you can camp by the large inside sweep of the Dargo River.
