Our diverse natural landscape also means that campgrounds offer more than just a great place to stay, connecting visitors with nearby walking trails, bike tracks, waterways for swimming and fishing and more.

Dogs on leashes are welcome too so bring your furry friends along for the fun.

Before you go


No bookings are required in State forests, however camping spots are available on a first-come, first served basis so plan to arrive early.

Brodies Campground

Grampians – A great spot for vehicle and tent-based camping by the water on the northern edge of beautiful Rocklands Reservoir.

High Country – This spacious and open campground is popular for visitors, especially in summer with its access to the Buffalo River.

O'Tooles Campground

Gippsland – Located on the river flats adjacent to Donnelly's Creek, O’Tooles is a spacious campground near to its smaller neighbour, Little O’Tooles.

High Country – Dive into history at this site of the infamous Kelly Gang shootout, complete with a scenic walk and nearby campground.
