About Richards Campground
Richards Campground is a quiet clearing in the middle of beautiful native forests, perfect for families and groups. Located at the end of a quiet country road surrounded by stunning native fores, there are many bushwalking options, making it popular amongst visitors.
You may see wallabies and kangaroos where the forest opens into a clearing at this site. Richards campground features a large shelter, toilets, BBQ pits and picnic tables.
Hosting the start of the Beeripmo Walk, this site is popular for those looking for adventure. Grevillea, Paradise and Fiery Loop walks offer plenty to see and all link from this central site.
It's a great spot for experienced and inexperienced campers alike.
This is a walk-in, tent-based campsite. Ditchfields Chinamans or Smiths Bridge Campgrounds are nearby and more suited to vehicle-based camping.
Richards Picnic Area
This site has a large picnic shelter, toilets, outside picnic tables and BBQ pits. Everything you need for a good picnic, even in the cooler months.
You'll hear the soundtrack of local wildlife and running water as you travel through the area. You will feel like you are in the wilderness.
Want to stay a bit longer? Bring your walking shoes – there is plenty to see and do from this one site.

Richards Campground was upgraded thanks to Victoria’s Great Outdoors.
Victoria’s Great Outdoors is boosting regional tourism and making it easier to enjoy nature by investing $106.6 million in better walking trails, campgrounds, 4WD tracks and visitor facilities.

This change is part of the transition of land management responsibilities to Parks Victoria, helping to strengthen the protection of habitat while supporting opportunities for recreation across western and central Victoria.
